GENERAL

  • Open for Lunch will take place on Friday 2 December 2022.

  • In 2022, Open for Lunch will be taking place both in the Sydney CBD and Parramatta - In Sydney, four individual events will be taking place on George Street (between Park and Hunter Street) and in Parramatta, an additional event at CommBank Stadium.

  • Open for Lunch on George Street will run from 12pm - 3pm. Open for Lunch in Parramatta will run from 12pm - 4pm.

  • Open for Lunch is a one day experience being held on Friday 2 December 2022 and there are no further sessions or opportunities to attend other than on this day.

  • Open for Lunch is a full licensed event. As such, all patrons must be a minimum of 18+ years of age to enter.

  • Open for Lunch is a full licensed event and therefore BYO alcohol is not permitted.

  • Open for Lunch is an all weather event. As such, your experience can be affected by the weather conditions so it is recommended you come prepared with wet weather gear, raincoats, umbrellas, sunscreen and/or sun hats.

    If the weather is deemed dangerous and or exceeds the event's risk parameters, we will communicate with ticket holders on the next steps.

  • Common dietary requirements will be catered for. You will however be required to provide details of your dietary requirements at the time of ticket purchase.

TICKETING INFORMATION

  • The official ticketing partner of Open for Lunch is Oztix. Any tickets purchased from avenues outside of the Oztix website are at the purchasers’ own risk.

  • In 2022, Open for Lunch will be taking place both in the Sydney CBD and Parramatta - In Sydney, four individual events will be taking place on George Street (between Park and Hunter Street) and in Parramatta, an additional event at CommBank Stadium.

  • All tickets for Open for Lunch are $65 + booking fees per person.

  • The inclusions vary depending upon the Open for Lunch event that you choose to attend (there are five different options available). For more information regarding ticketing inclusions, visit the dedicated page for your chosen event on the Open For Lunch Website.

  • You will be required to choose the particular event you are wanting to attend at the time of ticket purchase. Unfortunately tickets are non transferable and you will be unable to move between sites on George Street throughout the afternoon.

  • Due to the unique nature of the Open for Lunch experiences, tickets to all events are limited, so it is highly recommended that you get in quick to secure tickets to your event of choice.

  • All ticket purchases are allocated on a “best available” seating. Once allocated, seating allocations cannot be changed or modified.

    Please note, The George St Hoedown is a general admission event with no allocated seating.

  • Unless canceled or postponed by the promoter, all tickets to Open for Lunch are non-refundable.

TRANSPORT

  • Attendees are encouraged to leave the car at home and catch public transport to the city with plenty of services within short walking distance of the George St event precinct.

    Train

    For those attending “Feast for the Senses” or “YCK Fair Day”, the closest station is Town Hall. Use the Queen Victoria Building or George Street exits and you will be a few steps away from the event site.

    For those attending “The George St Hoedown” or “Disco Picnic”, the closest station is Wynyard. Use the George St exit.

    Light rail

    Light rail services from Randwick and Kingsford will continue to run to Town Hall during the event. From the Town Hall stop it’s a short walk to all of the CBD event sites along George Street. Light rail will not run between Town Hall and Circular Quay during the event.

    Bus

    There are regular bus routes that run to and from the Sydney CBD. All bus services continue to run on their normal timetable during the Open for Lunch event period.

    Ferry

    The closest wharf to George St is Circular Quay which is approximately 10 minutes’ walk towards Wynyard.

    By Car

    Limited car parking is available within the Sydney CBD. If you have to drive to the event, it is recommended that you pre-book parking prior to arrival.

  • Attendees are encouraged to leave the car at home and catch public transport with plenty of services within short walking distance of the Parramatta event precinct.

    Train

    The closest station to CommBank Stadium is Parramatta, which is approximately a 10 minute walk from the stadium. Alternatively, you can catch a train to Westmead Station then head to CommBank Stadium through Parramatta Park.

    Bus

    There are regular bus routes that run to and from Parramatta Interchange which is within a 10 minute walking distance of CommBank Stadium. From the Interchange head down Argyle St. Church St and take either side of the Riverside Walk or walk through Prince Alfred Square to get to the stadium on O’Connell St. Alternatively some bus routes make stops along O’Connell Street.

    Ferry

    The closest wharf to CommBank Stadium is Parramatta Wharf. CommBank Stadium is approximately a 15 minute walk (1.2km) from Parramatta Wharf.

    By Car

    Onsite paid car parking is available at CommBank Stadium. There are also plenty of car parks within short walking distance.
